• Two lecture were taken by Dr. Sikandar Hyat on Form & Style of the Research Papers and Notes & Biblography
• Basic IT Skills Session was also conducted.

• Participants met with their respective faculty advisors regarding their IRPs.
• Dr Sikandar Hyat DS(R) , NMC has delivered a session on Research Process.

• Two Tutorial Discussion was Conducted by respected Syndicate Incharges on : (a) A Situation Analysis of Poverty Reduction Strategies with special focus on meeting the targets of MDGs.              (b) Implementation of Public Policy and the role of Multinational, International and National NGOs.
• Basic IT Sessions were also conducted.

• Mr. Rizwan Ahmed , MD, Sindh Public Procurement Regularity Authority has discussed the concepts of Economic tools for project evaluation.
• Dr. Moiz , CEO of Institute of Mind Sciences has delivered a lecture on Emotional Literacy.
• Participants also met with their individual research paper Advisors.
• After lunch participants along with faculty members were visited Mazar-e-Quaid to paid homage to Founder of Pakistan.

• Dr. M.Hanif conducted a workshop on "Time & Workload Management" for about 2 hours.
• Mr. M. Zakir , Director General, Provincial Ombudsmen has delivered a lecture on Methology & Processess(Public Policy) for about 2 hours.
• 2 hours IT Skills Session was conducted in computer labs.

Simulation Exercise-1 (Public Transport)

• 4 Research Analysis Group & 2 Syndicate were given presentation on Simulation Exercise-1 on Public Transport. They have assigned topics like karachi Circular Railway, Environmental Degradation , labour issues related to bad working conditions, Implementation of trafic laws, Mass transit project and infrastructure development.
• After all presentations , a debrief session was also conducted.
• Participants of 8th MCMC also visited NIM's Library.

• Ms. Noorreen Mujahid, ADS has given briefing on Simulation Exercise -1 on "Public Transport"
• The group divided in 2 Syndicates & 4 RAGs. 
• The Simulation Exercise will continue till Monday 11th January 2010.
• Basic IT Skills session were also conducted during the day.  

• Syndicate Incharges hold a meeting with their respective syndicate members.
• Mr. Zeeshan Atique , a lecturer of Economics Deptt. of Karaci University has delivered two sesions on Introduction to basic concepts of Economics as applicable at operational level(Micro & Macro Economics)
• Basic IT Skills Class was also conducted.

• Mr. Shakeel A.Khan , a professional trainer has delivered a session on "Communication & Presentation Skills.
• One hour self assessment test was conducted.
• Two sessions on Basic IT Skills were conducted. 

•  The DG, NIM Karachi has deliverd welcome address and pointed out the importance of training in public service
  
•  Till todate 30 participants has joined the 8th MCMC. the  composition of participants according to their group service is   given below:
